BIG numbers from Sainsbury's !
For the past 12 months, The Matthew 25 Mission has been supported by the Sainsbury's store in Hampden Park as its 'Charity of the Year'.
During the year, the store has raised a staggering £ 3,242 towards the Mission's work amongst some of the most vulnerable and needy people in Eastbourne. BIG numbers indeed!
In the picture, the Mission's Administrator, Graham Horsnell, celebrates this remarkable achievement with Sainsbury's staff. As well as the welcome funds, the store also collected and donated a mountain of food to the Mission. Matthew 25 provides hot meals every weekday, free of charge, as well as other support,
to its 50-60 daily visitors. So the foodstuffs donated were more than welcome too! Graham said: "Melanie and the Sainsbury's team have been brilliant over the past 12 months. May I say a huge "Thank you!" on behalf of Eastbourne's vulnerable people, dozens of whom have been blessed as a result of their enthusiastic support."
